Dr. Felix Ramirez Labrada is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He studied medicine at the Highest Institute of Medical Sciences in Camaguey, Cuba. After two years in rural service, he completed a full Surgery Residency and practiced surgery for five years in Cuba followed by one year in Gambia, West Africa. Later, he served as a house physician at Baptist Hospital in Miami, Florida before entering North Shore LIJ-Hofstra University Southside Hospital, New York for his Family Medicine Residency.
Dr. Ramirez is an active member of FELAC (Latin American Federation of Surgeons), AMA and the Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Ramirez’s areas of particular interest include hospital medicine, management of surgical condition, office-based ambulatory procedures, as well as acute care and chronic illnesses. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing soccer. His favorite teams are Barcelona FC and Arsenal FC. He also likes to play racquetball. Dr. Ramirez is fluent in his native Spanish as well as English.
